Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Sixes Entertainment Limited (company number 17106237, registered office 82 Heathfield North, Twickenham, England, TW2 7QW) (“Sixes”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates the Sixes Party Cricket and Sixes Social Cricket venues, websites and social media channels, including sixescricket.com. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently, in line with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 (as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR).

Some Sixes venues and sites are run by independent franchisees or partners. Where a franchisee or partner decides how your data is used (for example, CCTV or bookings at their own venue), they are responsible for it and may give you their own privacy notice.

Our Data Protection contact is Calum Swan, Head of Operations, Sixes Entertainment Limited, 82 Heathfield North, Twickenham, England, TW2 7QW, email hello@sixescricket.com. See section 14.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you give us

You give us information when you make a booking, buy a gift card, create an account, enquire about an event or franchise opportunity, sign up to our mailing list, enter a competition or survey, contact us, or play at our venues. This may include:

  • identity and contact details (name, nickname, email address, phone number, address, company name);
  • booking details (date, venue, group size, preferences, special requests);
  • transaction details (what you bought, payment status). Card payments are handled by our payment providers, and we do not store full card numbers;
  • marketing preferences and communications with us;
  • dietary, allergy and accessibility information you tell us about, which may be health information (see section 3);
  • if you enquire about a franchise opportunity: your business experience, location, territory of interest, number of venues you would like to open, and your capital position.

If you give us information about other people (for example, guests or colleagues), please make sure they are happy for you to do so and that you have told them how we will use it.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

When you use our websites we collect technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, time zone, the pages you visit and how you interact with them (clicks, scrolling, time on page), referring sites, and any phone number you use to call us. Some of this is collected using cookies and similar technologies (section 5).

2.3 Information we collect at our venues
  • CCTV images, for safety and security;
  • photos and video taken by us during your visit;
  • information you use when you register to play (such as your name or nickname on scoreboards);
  • information about your use of our guest Wi-Fi;
  • records of accidents, incidents and complaints.
2.4 Information we receive from other sources

We may receive information about you from:

  • booking and reservation platforms (for example, TripAdvisor) and our ticketing and payment providers;
  • a person who books on your behalf, such as a colleague, friend or event organiser;
  • social media platforms, when you interact with our pages or adverts;
  • analytics, advertising and fraud-prevention providers; and
  • publicly available sources, such as LinkedIn or Companies House, when we assess a franchise enquiry.

We combine this with the information you give us and use it for the purposes in section 3.

2.5 Children

Our websites are not aimed at children, and bookings and accounts must be made by an adult aged 18 or over. Children may visit our venues with a responsible adult. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children for marketing.

3. How we use your information and our lawful basis

We must have a lawful basis for using your personal data. The main ways we use it, and the basis we rely on for each, are:

  • Taking and managing bookings, gift cards and orders, and providing our services: contract (or steps you ask us to take before entering a contract).
  • Customer service, handling enquiries, complaints and feedback: contract, and our legitimate interests in running and improving our business.
  • Sending you marketing by email or SMS: your consent, or the “soft opt-in” under PECR for similar products and services to those you have bought or enquired about, with an easy way to opt out.
  • Postal marketing and marketing to businesses: our legitimate interests in promoting our business.
  • Essential website operation and security: our legitimate interests.
  • Analytics, advertising and personalisation cookies: your consent.
  • CCTV, health and safety, crime prevention and fraud prevention: our legitimate interests in keeping guests, staff and premises safe, and legal obligation where required.
  • Taking photos and video at our venues and making them available to you and your group: our legitimate interests.
  • Publishing photos and video of you on our websites and social media: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Using dietary, allergy or accessibility information to look after you: your explicit consent (or, in an emergency, protecting vital interests).
  • Assessing and responding to franchise enquiries: our legitimate interests in assessing and developing our franchise network, and steps prior to a contract.
  • Accounting, tax, insurance, licensing, health and safety and other legal duties: legal obligation.
  • Sale, reorganisation or financing of our business: our legitimate interests.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether your rights and interests override them. You can ask us for more information about that assessment.

If you do not provide information we need to take your booking or deliver our services, we may not be able to do so.

Special category data. Health information (such as allergies or accessibility needs) is special category data. We only collect it if you choose to give it to us for a specific reason, and we only use it for that reason, such as providing safe food and drink or making your visit accessible. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, though this may affect our ability to accommodate your needs.

4. Marketing

We will only send you marketing by email or SMS where you have consented, or where you are an existing customer or have enquired about similar products or services and have not opted out. Every marketing message includes an easy way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time by contacting us. We do not sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make our websites work, to understand how they are used, and to measure and improve our advertising. Essential cookies are needed for our websites to function and are always on. We ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies, such as analytics and advertising cookies.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing the cookies on your device, or by contacting us using the details in section 14. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of our websites may not work properly if you do.

6. Who we share your information with

We share personal data only where necessary and with appropriate safeguards. Recipients include:

  • Group companies, including Sixes Entertainment Franchise Limited.
  • Service providers acting on your instructions.
  • Franchisees and partner venues.
  • Professional advisers and insurers.
  • Regulators and the police.
  • A buyer of the business.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. International transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the UK, and we support franchise partners overseas (including in Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana). Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we make sure it remains protected, for example by relying on UK adequacy regulations, or by using the ICO’s International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and by confirming the protection in the destination country is not materially lower than in the UK. You can contact us for more information about the safeguards we use.

8. How long we keep your information

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, and then delete or anonymise it. Our proposed periods are:

  • Booking and transaction records: 7 years from the booking (accounting and legal claims).
  • Marketing preferences and mailing list: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we respect your opt-out.
  • Website analytics data: 14 months.
  • CCTV footage: 60 days, unless needed for an incident or investigation.
  • Photos and video: until you withdraw consent or the content is no longer used.
  • Accident and incident records: 7 years for adults, longer where a child is involved.
  • Franchise enquiries: 24 months from our last contact if no agreement results.
  • Enquiries and complaints: 3 years from resolution.

9. Keeping your information secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls and encrypted connections for payments and forms. Where you have a password, please keep it confidential. No internet transmission is completely secure, so you share information with us online at your own risk, but we work to prevent unauthorised access once we receive it.

10. Your rights

Under data protection law you have the right to:

  • be told how we use your data (this policy);
  • access the personal data we hold about you, and receive a copy;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • have your data erased in certain circumstances;
  • restrict our use of your data in certain circumstances;
  • object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests, and object at any time to direct marketing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
  • receive your data in a portable format, in certain circumstances; and
  • not be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. We do not currently make decisions of this kind.

Some of these rights are subject to conditions and exceptions, which we will explain if they apply.

How to use your rights. Contact our Data Protection contact (section 14). We may ask for information to confirm your identity or to clarify your request. We will respond within one month, which can be extended by up to two further months for complex or numerous requests, and we may pause the deadline while we wait for the information we need from you. For access requests we carry out reasonable and proportionate searches. There is no charge, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we may charge a reasonable fee or refuse it.

11. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, or with how we have responded to a request to use your rights, please tell us first by contacting our Data Protection contact (section 14). You do not need to use any particular words or mention the law. You can complain by email, by post, or by speaking to a member of our team.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, investigate it and keep you informed without undue delay, and tell you the outcome. If someone complains on your behalf, we will need to confirm they are authorised to act for you.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. The ICO may ask whether you have raised your concern with us first.

12. Links to other websites

Our websites may link to other websites, such as partners, advertisers and social media platforms. They have their own privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for. Please read them before you give them any personal data.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. If we make significant changes we will tell you where appropriate, for example by email.
